Quest’ultimo termine è apparso solo negli ultimi secoli ed è connesso ai problemi scaturiti dalle legislazioni emancipatrici degli strati sociali ebraici che prima erano vissuti all’interno delle società cristiane con un loro particolare regime giuridico, in parte loro inflitto, ma in parte da loro stessi sollecitato. Il più grande pericolo che l’ebraismo ha sempre avvertito è stato quello dell’assimilazione all’interno delle società dove si trovavano ed all’interno delle quali il loro ruolo era sempre problematico. Negli ultimi anni, a partire in particolare dal concilio vaticano II, è aumentata la confusione. A prescindere da qualsiasi discriminazione di tipo razzista o persecutorio, è indubbio che il cristianesimo si forma neei secolo come antitesi ovvero superamento dell’ebraismo. Dimenticare questo atto di origine del cristianesimo significa smarrire le coordinate storiche presenti in circa 2000 anni di storia volgare.
